These Are The Best Hybrid and Electric SUVs for 2021

by pps-DUEditor

Crossovers and SUVs are the vehicles of choice for pretty much everyone all over America. Over the past few years, hybrids and electric cars have been steadily gaining market share too. It only makes sense that car manufacturers would work towards combining both segments into one very interesting offering. And they have. These are the most interesting hybrid and electric SUVs coming soon to a showroom near you.

Ford Mustang Mach-E

The name is iconic. There are styling cues that hark back to the legendary muscle car as well. But other than that, the name is a marketing gimmick. But, as an electric SUV, the Mustang Mach-E is one of the best. The most capable model should have a range of 300 miles from motor options that generate 255hp and 459hp. This should be fun.

Tesla Model Y

This affordable crossover should help Tesla boost sales figures. The interiors are similar to the Model 3 and feature a wide array of tech and convenience gadgets in every trim. The Long Range and Performance models have up to 280 miles of range when paired with a dual-motor setup. The Long Range option can also be had only with rear-wheel drive that saves you $4,000 and pushes the range to 300 miles.

BMW iNEXT

BMW already has a couple of excellent hybrids and is expanding its range. The Vision iNEXT is scheduled to arrive sometime in 2021 and has already been spotted testing. While detailed technical information is still top secret, it is known that this vehicle will incorporate the battery, electric motor, and transmission into a single unit. It should be able to go about 400 miles on a single charge. Expect it to be a range-topping option with Level 3 autonomy as well.

Volvo XC90 T8 eAWD

The XC90 is a rather excellent SUV. Volvo has also stated that all future vehicles it makes will only be hybrids or EVs. The new XC90 is likely to retain its current powerful and efficient engine while being a plug-in hybrid. There’s likely to be a full-electric option as well. Keep checking in for more details on what’s expected to be the best hybrid SUV in 2021.
